Further understanding and the modification of cognitive and emotion regulation abilities in binge eating disorder

In the BONITO project, which represents a cooperation between the university of Fribourg and the University of Tübingen (Germany), we investigate in the relationship between emotion regulation and cognitive capacity (working memory) and the separate, respectively synergetic effects on binge eating in individuals affected by binge eating disorder. Included will be an ecological momentary study, as well as an experiment in the laboratory setting. The goal of the thesis will be to explore changes in mood, cognitive capacity, emotion regulation and its effect on binges, as well as psychophysiological properties of these changes.
